Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma (Required)
- 3 years of experience or equivalent education (Required)
- NACE Level I Certification (Required)
- NACE Level II Certification or equivalent (Preferred)
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of coatings-related operations, inspection processes, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret coatings drawings, codes, and specifications
Essential Functions:
- Support and enforce all TTI/FSS company safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by working with the EHS department.
- Maintain all required QC documentation and ensure proper retention.
Operations & Management:
- Coordinate coatings-related priorities and schedules with the Production Manager and Superintendents.
- Oversee coatings personnel, including staffing, training, and performance management.
- Ensure each facility has the necessary equipment, consumables, and staffing for production.
- Conduct audits and inspections to verify that work meets or exceeds quality standards.
- Issue corrective actions when performance or quality standards are not met.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on all coatings equipment.
Procurement & Vendor Relations:
- Review purchase orders and requisitions for accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate external companies and vendors supporting coatings operations.
Reporting & Communication:
- Inform senior management of any production, quality, or safety issues.
- Coach and develop personnel within the coatings department to support continuous improvement.
